biography
Trained on C-130 and C-141 but assigned to Nellis AFB before training on the C-7a Caribou. Stationed at Cam Ranh Bay with the 458th Airlift squadron as a crew chief, most missions were in support of the 5th Special Forces. In 1969 I was assigned to Altus Air Force Base, where I was a crew chief on the on the C141. I was at Altus Air Force Base for six years before I volunteered for recruiting service. I was in then assigned to South Texas. After four years, I was reassigned to Lages field in the Azores. While there I was assigned to be the squadron training officer, my performance report was endorsed by two star general. I was then assigned to Travis Air Force Base to a SAC squadron. The 307th air refueling squadron was deactivated so I was transferred to the military airlift command where I worked and support of the C141 aircraft. After I retired, I attended Texas A&I Graduated with a degree in psychology and sociology with the social work sequence. Upon graduation I went to work for the Texas rehabilitation commission as a rehab counselor. I also worked in private industry as a rehab manager. Then I went to work with a chronic pain management clinic as a mental health, professional, and therapist. I am currently a member of the Warriors United in arms with the mission of veterans helping veterans, it’s a local group that has accomplished much for our local veterans and our community. We recently obtained a Helicopter to be displayed at our veterans Park. I am also a member of the Vietnam veterans of America and a lifetime member of the veterans of foreign wars.
