biography
Commissioned via ROTC upon graduation from La Tech University as a 2nd Lieutenant in May 1973. Reported on active duty at Lackland AFB, TX for Security Police Officer training in June 1973. Reported to first duty station at Barksdale AFB, La, 2nd Security Police Squadron in July 1973. Played basketball on the All-Air Force team at Shepard AFB, TX in 1976 and 1977 at Wright-Patterson AFB, Oh. Reported to TUSLOG Det 100 in Eskisehir, Turkey in June 1977. Played in the USAFE Basketball Tournament in 1978, being named to the All Tournament Team and scoring 51 points in one game. Reassigned to 2nd Security Police Squadron, Barksdale AFB, La in July 1978. Reported to Vandenberg AFB, CA for Minuteman III ICBM training in August 1979. Reported to 740th Strategic Missile Squadron, Minot AFB, ND in November 1979. Reported to Davis-Monthan AFB, Az for Ground Launched Cruise Missile (GLCM) training in September 1983. Reported to 487th Tactical Missile Wing in Comiso AS, Sicily in January 1984. Reported to 91st Security Missile Squadron in December 1984. Honorably discharged in September 1985. Enlisted in the DC Army National Guard in 1988 and assigned to the 276th Military Police Squadron. Federalized in January 1991 then deployed to Saudi Arabia in February 1991 for Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Honorably discharged in June 1991 from US Army. Entered Retired Reserves in 1996 and retired in 2010 as Captain, US Army.
