Stephen Wilfred Homoleski

biography

I grew up in the small town of Brookline, NH surrounded by a large close knit family. I graduated from Nashua High School in June 1966 and reported to the United States Military Academy on July 1st. After graduation on June 3, 1970, I completed Air Defense, Airborne and Ranger training. My first permanent assignment was at Hahn Air Force Base in West Germany as a Vulcan platoon leader. In April 1974 I was reassigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. I spent my last year of active duty as Commander of D Battery 3/4 ADA. After returning home I was hired by the Navy as a mechanical engineer. I worked on nuclear submarines during overhauls at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. I spent over a decade as a Failure Analysis Team Leader before being assigned as the Senior Procurement Quality Control Engineer overseeing suppliers of critical material. Post retirement I have enjoyed reconnecting with my classmates during reunions.
