Following Basic Training at Fort Gordon GA (January-February 1969), assigned to Office Chief of Staff US Army at the Pentagon as Mathematics Statistics Specialist in support of Reserve Readiness Study Group (March-June 1969), Strategic Mobility and Readiness Team (June-December 1969) and Long Range Stationing Study Group (January-December 1970). Top Secret Security Clearance. Developed numerous statistical models to determine optimum deployment of Army personnel and optimum use of Army facilities for a variety of post-Vietnam force scenarios. Honorable Discharge; awarded Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
