After 6 months in Okinawa , I was reassigned to 128th Signal Company (24th Transportation Battalion) Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam. My primary job was to take good radios and a stock of radio part to repair radios in the field. I would drive the commo van from Cam Rahn Bay to Nha Trang, to get orders of what locations to go to and repair damaged radios. I would get in the first convoy headed north. My repair sites included Pleiku, Chu Lai, Hue, Ban Me Thuot and Da Nang. once all parts and equipment exhausted. I would return to base to replenish and reload additional parts and repaired radios.
