Born and raised in Illinois. Drafted in July 69 out of St Louis, MO. Basic @ Fort Bragg. AIT @ Fort McClellan, Al with 11Bravo MOS. Deployed to Vietnam Jan 2, 1970. Assigned to Charlie Co, 25th Infantry. Returned to states November 1970. Served out remaining 6 months at Fort Hood, TX.
