biography
Ralph Edward Joy was one of 8 children he always loved family, and family first. He dropped out of school in 4th grade to start working full time. He did get his GED later on. In 1958 he enlisted in the Marines. Honorably discharged in 1963. Got married and had 5 children. He was an active Father and always worked hard. 40 yrs ago he moved to the white mountains Lakeside Arizona and started his own furniture store called Joys Furniture it's the largest cabin in Arizona. He was going to retire when he moved to Lakeside but he didn't. Instead he built the most beautiful furniture store. Years later he met Tami Fenner who is his fiancee/ wife and soulmate in every sense of the meaning. And a step daughter. He loved nature and all animals. His favorite saying was "Don't take any wooden nickels" and "Bite the bullet". E-4 Sergeant he served in Fort Watuka. The Marines were ingrained in him. He was an amazing father to us.
He was also amazing to anyone, he help support the community, always helping people and he always worked hard. He was A man that anyone could turn to never judgement from him. He was also a no none sense man.
And a jokester at heart. Our lives and the lives of the community will never be the same.
