biography
Born Galveston, Texas. Graduated Anahuac High School, Chambers Co., Texas in 1970; Attended University of Texas El Paso on football scholarship. In the Navy, served on the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier CVA-67; USS Saratoga CVA-60; USS Enterprise CVN-64; Earned National Defense Service Medal, Navy Sharpshooter, M-16 Rifle. Stationed NAS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After war attended Lamar University, majoring in Engineering, worked for Brown and Root International 40 yrs. Married Sheryl Karr in 1976, two children Justin Bowen Shaw and Lauren Ann Shaw.
