biography
Served with the 3-187th Infantry in I Corps in early 1970 for about 4 months. Then totally lucked out and received a 90 day TDY to China Beach R& R Center in Danang as a lifeguard. When it was time to return, Major Mullins of the R&R Center had me permanently reassigned to the Center and I was promoted to head lifeguard. After receiving the reassignment, I extended for 2 months and left to come home in March of 1971.
