I was assigned to HHQ AND TRANSFERRED TO BRAVO CO 1/8 as a field MEDIC
MOSTLY IN SONG BE, Phuc Bien, Cambodia areas. Usually all jungle.
Humped out from LZ, unless Birds inserted us and missions were usually 10-30 days. We were usually dropped supplies as needed every 3-4 days. Extraction was via birds once mission completed. We never worked brigade or division, we were always out in the bush, including the LZ’s we worked out of. No PX no mess hall. Mostly C rations and occasionally hot food dropped in cannister from birds if possible.
