Matt DeZee

biography

I was drafted in Utica New York, went to basic training at Ft. Benning, AIT in Ft. McClellan, Infantry OCS, Airborne School, Ranger School and Jump Master School at Ft Benning. I was assigned to 1st Battalion, 50th Infantry of the 173 Airborne Brigade at An Khe, Vietnam in December 1968. In April 1969 I was assigned to November Company Rangers attached to the 173rd at LZ English.

I returned to Ft. Benning in January 1970 and was assigned to the Ranger School, Camp Darby. I left the Army in 1971 and returned to school and was awarded a Ph.D. in Political Science. I later served in the Central Intelligence Agency and ended my career with Cisco Systems, Inc.
