biography
Born in Trier, Germany. Parents were European, Mom from Germany and Dad from Hungary. I am named after a Hungarian king. Sponsored by Methodist church in Pleasantville NJ as refugees arriving in NYC in 1955. I was four yrs old. Lost my accent going thru K-12 and learning English living in South Jersey.. Enlisted into Army after high school one month after turning eighteen. Went to "shake & bake" course for 11F (Ops & Intel). Volunteered for Airborne & Ranger in 1970 followed by a tour in Vietnam. Upon return became part (3d Bde) 101st Abn Div. Became naturalized in 1975 to serve in Germany with NATO (Centag). Volunteered for training in Special Forces (Green Beret). Retired in 1991.
