I served as a combat medic with Charlie Co. 1/6th 198th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division. I was assigned however to HHC 1/6th 198th. My tour of Duty was from February 1968 to February 1969. I finished my service in June 1970 at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA.
Following my honorable discharge, I got undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
My career entailed serving as a federal employee primarily a whistleblower investigator with the U. S. Department of Labor in Alexandria, VA, Arlington, VA, Madison, WI and Appleton, WI.
I have written two books on the Vietnam War "Vietnam: There and Back - A Combat Medic's Chronicle" and "Vietnam - Soldier Stories and Songs". I have written approximately thirty songs about the Vietnam War and aftermath and they are connected to the last book in an audiobook format. I continue to write songs about the experience and am told I am one of the most prolific songwriters regarding detailing the Vietnam War.
