biography

I was drafted in March 1969. Reported to Ft Holabird MD. Singed up for one more year for 62B10 school, Bussed to Ft Bragg NC for boot camp. After Bragg I went to Ft Belvoir for my 62B10 school. After that I was in country the first part of December 1969. Frist stop was at Pleiku Vietnam with the 188th ORD Co. HQ Platoon. Worked in Motor Pool for about 1/2 a year or so. Then the 188th ORD Co moved to Anka Vietnam and so did I. Was at Anka with the 188th ORD Co for the 2nd part of my first tour. The 188th deactivated and I was transferred to the 184th ORD Battalion HHC. Worked in the motor pool for the first part of my 2nd tour until the 184th deactivated. Was transferred to the 88S&S Battalion HHC. worked in the Motor pool until I ETS-ed out in November 1971. In July 1975 I joined the Maryland Army National Guard B Troop 158th Cav as a SP/5. Worked in the HH Platoon as the unit Armor. Promoted to SSG as a 19D30 Scout section leader then a become a Tank commander as a 19E30. Then a Platoon Sargent as a 19E40. B Troop 158th deactivated and was transformed into the 1st Squadron 29th Infantry Division. I was promoted to 1SG of A-Troop 1 Squadron. Retired Sept 1997 was placed into the U. S. Army Retired Reserves until 2009 when I Got my Retirement ID card.
