Enlisted in Active Reserve for Basic training at Fort Lewis Sep 18,1967 one year to the day prior to marriage to Maureen L McDonell St Anne's RC parish Queen Anne Hill Seattle WA /

Commissioned 2LT in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps Sep 1968 Missile Maintenance MOS with a Voluntary Indefinite status /

*** Returned to Seattle WA, moved to Tacoma WA, bought a home on a VA loan for $50 down, worked two years as a stock broker with MLPF&S, studied toward a Masters degree in Accounting/Finance at Univ of Puget Sound, joined Ernst & Ernst (renamed Ernst & Whinney) telecommunications consulting group in Tacoma, earned CPA certificate working there, left Ernst & Whinney (now named Ernst & Young) as a Senior Manager about to make partner in May 1984, formed a telecommunications consulting practice in Tulsa OK, sold the firm to the employees in 2003 at age 57 and "retired" to Santa Fe NM, and ultimately moved back to the Pacific NW in Jul 2016. /
*** My interests over the years have primarily been sailing (owned three boats over time San Juan 21, Catalina 22, and Hunter 28), traveling US and abroad, and fine furniture woodworking. /
