biography
I was a medic assigned to the 41st Civil Affairs Company, and attached to 1st Abn Bde's S-5 , 1st Cavalry Division, An Khe. The team I was on had a medical Physician, a medic (myself) , two Lt's and a Capt team leader. We traveled with the Bde on operations providing medical aid to the various villages in the Bde's area of operations. While at base camp the doctor and I would visit a hamlet once a week to treat the sick and examine others for common diseases. I was assigned to teach four young women at the hamlet to be nurses twice a week when we were not on operations with the Bde .
