biography
After AIT training at Fort Sill, OK. was assigned to 7th Army, Fort Lewis, WA. . Further training on M-109 self propelled 155 howitzer. Went with unit to Germany on maneuvers. returned to Fort Lewis and received orders to Vietnam. Reported to 11th Cavalry near Long Binh, was flown to the field in a Loch chopper. Spent 6 months in 3/11 HOW Battery near Tay Ninh, at the fish hook, until stand down in February 1971. I received orders to report to the 23rd Infantry Service Battery in Chu Lai. I served as shot gun on convoy's to fire bases in the hill country Military Region 1. E.T.S'd to the World at Fort Lewis WA. August 1971. I returned Home to Omaha NE. got married had 2 Wonderful Sons' still married to my high school sweetie Sally. Retired moved to Conroe TX. in 2019 and the same weather as Vietnam.
