Before I served in an combat Infantry unit we in the clerical lived in a comfortable clean world with no extra duties. Being in a combat Infantry unit we depended on each other for survival where bonds became brotherhoods. Today 50 plus years later those bonds are still alive as we can meet each other yearly and still shed tears for the brothers who never came back.
