biography
I completed Basic Training in the ARMY at Fort Bragg, NC from Aug 1966 - Oct 1966. Then I had Advanced Training at Fort Sill, OK from Oct 1966 - Dec1966. Afterwards, I was assigned to the 6th Battalion, 15th Artillery which was training to be deployed to Vietnam at Fort Sill from Dec 1966 - Apr 1967. It was then that we were deployed to Vietnam. I continued serving with the 6th Battalion, 15th Artillery until Aug. 1967 and then I was transferred to the 1st Battalion, 5th Artillery where I served in Vietnam from Aug 1967 - Apr 1968. After returning home from Vietnam on leave, I was assigned to Howitzer Battery, 3rd Armoured Cavalry at Fort Lewis, WA from May 1968 - Aug 1968 completing my tour of duty with the U.S. ARMY.
