biography
I joined the Army in 1967 to learn to fly and obtain the GI bill to get an education. I served in Vietnam as a Huey helicopter pilot for 10 months before becoming WIA while on a rescue mission. I finished my enlistment as an Instructor and completed over 2000 hours of flight time, 1009 were combat hours. I have a short story published on the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots website at http://www.176thahc.org/blambie_miltexp.html if anyone is interested in it. I went on to complete a Liberal Arts degree at the University of Minnesota and served 29 years with the State of Minnesota assisting veterans in finding employment.
