Grew up in southern West Virginia. Drafted. AIT Ft Polk. Brief assignment Ft Huachuca to become a Sensor Operator before being sent to Vietnam. Spent tour in sensor platoon attached to headquarters of Cam Rahn Bay Support Command. Best friends Gus Lewis of Houston and Edmund Lempenski of Glen Cove NY. Returned to driving for the Chicago Transit Authority after separation. Subsequent career as photographer, commercial real estate appraisal and commercial real estate sales assistant.
