biography
Attended Infantry Basic Training at Ft. Dix, Armor AIT at Ft. Knox, then Engineer OCS at Ft. Belvior - all to be commissioned in the Transportation Corps. Stationed for 2 years in Frankfurt, Germany with 3rd Armored Division, 503rd Supply & Transport Battalion. Served in 124th Transportation battalion in Cha Rang Valley west of Quin Nhon. Then moved to 27th Transportation Battalion as the 8th Transportation Group was being deactivated and downsized during Vietnamization. Returned to the U.S. in November 1971 and was released from active duty. Remained in the Army Reserve for another 12 years. Finally discharged from reserve service at the rank of LTC.
